Advisor
Dr. Richard E. Kast is a physician-scientist, psychiatrist, and internationally recognized researcher whose work has focused on identifying novel cancer treatment strategies through drug repurposing and translational medicine. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and has been a leading contributor to the development of innovative multi-drug treatment approaches for glioblastoma and other difficult-to-treat cancers.
A graduate of the University of Copenhagen Medical School, Dr. Kast has held academic appointments at multiple institutions, including the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where he served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry. His research has helped advance the understanding of how existing FDA-approved medications may be repurposed to target cancer growth pathways, improve treatment response, and support personalized therapeutic strategies.
