Linda Strause, PhD

Dr. Strause is the Founder and Principal of Strategic Clinical Consultants, bringing over 35 years of experience in global clinical operations and development, with a focus on oncology, critical care, and ethical considerations for patients with life-threatening diseases. She has held executive leadership roles across pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, site management, and global contract research organizations (CROs). She advises clients on clinical development strategy and operations, with particular expertise in oncology programs spanning Phase 1–3 trials and complex enrollment and patient care challenges.

Her commitment to patient engagement in clinical trials was shaped by her experience as a caregiver to her husband with glioblastoma. In 2014, she co-founded G. Randall & Sons, Inc./Randy’s Club, where she led education and research supporting botanical hemp products until its closure in 2023. She later served as President of Ei.Ventures (2022), overseeing clinical development programs with a focus on psychedelics.

Dr. Strause was a Senior Research Scholar and Founding Chair of the San Diego Hospice & Palliative Care Institutional Review Board, serving for over 15 years. She has held leadership and advisory roles with several organizations, including ACRP, Women in Bio, the Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation, the Wholistic Research & Education Foundation, and Teens Rise Foundation.

She is a former Adjunct Professor at UC San Diego, teaching undergraduate Human Nutrition courses. Dr. Strause holds a bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego and a PhD in Neurophysiology from UC Santa Barbara, and is a frequent speaker on topics including precision medicine, global clinical trials, site development, outsourcing, and research ethics.
